The Trailer For Christopher Nolan’s New Movie ‘Tenet’ Dropped Last Night

Summer blockbuster season is in full swing, with Hobbs & Shaw being released just a week after Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. And with Hollywood’s Blockbuster season comes a whole new wave of teasers and trailers, including one for Christopher Nolan’s mysterious new film Tenet.

Attached to the beginning of Hobbs & Shaw, a quick trailer for Tenet is being shown in theaters across the United States, giving fans just a small taste of what to expect from Nolan’s next feature film.

Unfortunately for those who haven’t physically gone to the theater to see Hobbs & Shaw, the trailer has been quite difficult to pin down online, as Warner Bros. is feverishly working to have any and all clips of the film taken down.

That said, the trailer was out there long enough for some lucky fans to see and the consensus seems to be that it looks fucking awesome, which is no surprise considering Nolan is arguably the best director in the game today.

And while we sadly can’t find the trailer anywhere online (although you bet your ass I’m going to be searching all day), we have rounded up some details about what was shown:

– The film is apparently a cross between the spy genre and the time travel genre. Time-traveling spies? I’m all the way in already.

– John David Washington (son of Denzel) is reportedly the protagonist, with Robert Pattinson apparently playing the film’s villain.

– The trailer includes two taglines: “Time has come for a new protagonist” and “Time has come for a new kind of mission.” Get it? “Time has come.” Oh Chrissy Nolan, you dog you.

Tenet — which also stars Elizabeth Debicki, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Michael Caine, Kenneth Branagh, Clémence Poésy, and Dimple Kapadia — is set to be released in theaters in the United States on July 17, 2020.
