Oh my God, Terrence, what is wrong with you?
Imagine this: You’re tired and hungry, so you make the call to order pizza. You place your order: extra cheese, pepperoni, and onions. You can’t wait to smash this with a frosty Diet Coke.
Then, your Papa John’s pizza order arrives, but it’s not yours. It’s for a random dude named Terrence, and apparently, he’s on some other food journey. This was the hilariously horrifying reality for TikToker @slizlemonade, a woman whose dinner plans were upended by someone who wanted neither cheese nor sauce on their pie.
No Cheese. No Sauce. Big Problem
Her caption, “No offenses but like I really blame Papa Johns for allowing this,” says it all. Because you think you’re ready to see what’s happening in the pizza box. But you kind of aren’t.
As the TikToker opens the box, she says, “We got someone else’s order. Terrence, you’re a f—— crazy person!”
And then the big reveal happens. Terrence’s order contains a sauceless, cheeseless pizza with green peppers and pineapple scattered in the middle.
It’s giving profound sadness. And perhaps a fundamental misunderstanding of what pizza is. Because except for the small container of Papa Johns’ garlic dipping sauce, there’s no joy in that box.
Is Terrence OK?
The thing you, or any of the 308,000 viewers, might not notice right away, though? There are two orders of this same exact pizza. Presumably, Terrence wasn’t just on some quirky personal pizza mission; he was feeding other people. Just picture it: You’re hanging out with your dear friend, and he offers to order some food. You say yes. Then this is what he presents.
It’s such a weird thing to see, and presumably that’s why the TikToker took it to the internet. Because without proof, who’s going to believe someone, in good faith, ordered this dry-looking, flatbread-adjacent pie?
In the comments, things get a little (ahem), diagnostic.
“My man Terrence has got to be in distress,” one viewer said.
Another agreed. They wrote, “Some one needs to do a welfare check on Terrance.”
The consensus seems to be that Terrence is wrestling with some personal issues. “And he got two of them, what is Terrence going through,” asked another.
What To Do If You Get The Wrong Order
The problem with this order—beyond the fact that it clearly wasn’t the TikToker’s—is that for any typical pizza lover, it’s kind of inedible. So what’s a person to do if they get the wrong delivery?
The Papa John’s website says that in the “unlikely” event you’re not happy with your meal, customers can use the Papa’s Quality Guarantee. That means they’ll deliver another pizza of equal or lesser value free. You’ll just need to call the store you ordered from and have your receipt available, and they’ll try again.
But the question remains: How common is it for people to order a sauceless and cheeseless pizza?
The famous New York City pizzeria, Two Boots, makes a strong case for a “veganized” pizza—that is, a pie that relies on “vibrant veggies, rich plant-based cheeses, and unique vegan proteins.” But, Terrence didn’t order that, and the TikToker’s next video explains why.
A comment has been captured and popped into the camera screen, “Yo I’m Terrence and I’m allergic to sauce, cheese, pepperonis, and sanity,” writes the person purporting to be Terrence (but likely someone trolling and poking fun at the situation). “Thanks for making me feel even worse about it.”
So the TikToker is once again taking to the internet—but this time, it’s an apology tour: “I apologize to Terrence, if you ever see this: I’m sorry you got the opposite of your order as well. And I’m sorry for putting you on blast. … It’s just, it was alarming, and I was taken aback,” she says.
