One Battle After Another star and Best Supporting Actress nominee Teyana Taylor had herself quite a busy night at the Academy Awards, as she had a handful of moments go viral on social media, and not for positive reasons.

The first instance of Teyana Taylor attracting the social media was when she deployed what many thought to be an overzealous reaction to Amy Madigan winning Best Supporting Actress for her work in Weapons.

“Teyana Taylor acting like she’s happy for another woman..Girl bye, this is an act and we can see it,” one tweet read.

“Lmao at Teyana Taylor reaction the fakest s— ever,” a second added.

Then came the moment when One Battle After Another won Best Picture, which saw her put writer/director Paul Thomas Anderson in a headlock and take the Oscar trophy from Nicole Kidman despite Best Picture being a producer award, not an actor award.

“Teyana Taylor was doing too much all night, but the fact she put PTA in a headlock and ran on stage and ripped that Oscar out of Nicole’s hand, and the Producer had to give her speech empty handed while she held that Oscar with a death crib was crossing the line,” one movie fan tweeted.

There was also an instance outside of the ceremony, as cameras caught Taylor arguing with an interviewer on the red carpet.

Getting into an argument with someone on the red carpet…

“Why does she always have to create a scene anywhere she goes?” one tweeted wondered.

In addition to Best Picture, PTA’s One Battle After Another took home another five Oscars, incluing Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Supporting Actor (for Sean Penn), Best Film Editing, and the first Best Casting in the history of the Academy Awards.
