I dare say Home Alone 2: Lost in New York is rare example of a film franchise where the sequel was better than the original. That’s not to say that Home Alone wasn’t incredible. It was and everyone know this. But Home Alone 2 set in NYC was somehow better.

Kevin McCallister having his run of Manhattan… Crushing unlimited ice cream in the Plaza Hotel on 59th and 5th Ave bordering Central Park… A limo ride around the city… That suite at the Plaza! He was living the dream.

And now, apparently, we can all live the Kevin McCallister experience as the Plaza Hotel. As a millennial, this is quite literally a chance to be living the dream.

Live The ‘Home Alone’ Life At The Plaza Hotel

The Plaza Hotel has this package listed on their website under the name ‘Home Alone: Fun In New York.’ There’s no family abandonment in this package, it’s all in good fun.

The Plaza Hotel package includes recreating iconic experiences from Home Alone 2 like a 4-hour limo ride around the city sightseeing locations from the film, ice cream, and more.

An excerpt on the Plaza Hotel’s website reads:

Living the Kevin McCallister life isn’t cheap. He spent his father’s money with reckless abandon. So when I first came across this clip below I assumed the Home Alone x Plaza Hotel package would cost at least $10,000 if not more. NYC is the most expensive city in the United States and one of the most expensive in the world, after all.

But the package runs for just over $3,000 according to this viral clip on Tiktok which states $3,195 will get you all of that. A suite alone at the Plaza Hotel costs around that so you’re getting a LOT for your money here:
