There was a rare tie at this year’s Academy Awards ceremony.
On Sunday, “The Singers” and “Two People Exchanging Saliva” were both announced as the winners for the Oscar for Best Live Action Short Film.
Presenter Kumail Nanjani appeared flustered by the situation.
“It’s a tie. I’m not joking, it’s actually a tie, so everyone calm down. We’re gonna get through this—focus up. Um, calm down, remain calm.”
“I’m gonna name one winner. They’ll come out, accept their award, and then I’ll come back and name another winner, and they’ll accept the award.”
