Yes, Tom Hardy Would ‘Love’ To Make Another ‘Mad Max’ Movie, Especially Now That He’s ‘Older And Uglier’ (Interview)

Just last month, iconic director George Miller — not even a year removed from the release of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga — revealed that he’s got a script for another Mad Max movie he’d like to make. Many suspect the film could be Mad Max: The Wasteland, his long-gestating sequel to Mad Max: Fury Road.

While it’s now been a decade sine the release of Mad Max: Fury Road, the film still lives on hallowed ground among movie fans and is considered to be one of the best films of the century so far and one of the best action movies of all time.

Speaking to Tom Hardy about the release of his new Paramount+ series MobLand, BroBible asked the Fury Road star if seeing Furiosa — which starred Anya Taylor-Joy (taking over the role of Furiosa from Charlize Theron) and Chris Hemsworth — gave him the itch to return to that world, or if it reminded him of just how hard making those movies were. Hardy didn’t hesitate before offering that he would “love” to return for another Mad Max movie.

“I’d love to do it. I love George Miller. That was one of the best experiences of my career. I would love to go and do some more work [on Mad Max] now that I’m older and much uglier and wisened,” Hardy told BroBible.

While George Miller may now be 80-years-old, the release of Furiosa in 2024 proved the beloved Aussie filmmaker still has his fast ball, as the film was widely considered to be one of the best of the year despite its disappointing box office return.
