The first official trailer for Toy Story 5 has been released. Toy Story 5 will be released in movie theaters in the United States on Friday, June 19.

Toy Story 5 will seemingly be picking up right where 2019’s Toy Story 4 left off as Woody is still out in the world helping lost toys. Two-time Oscar winner Tom Hanks returns to voice Woody, as does Tim Allen with Buzz Lightyear. The previously announced voice cast also include Joan Cusack (Jessie), Greta Lee (Lilypad — the tablet villain), Conan O’Brien (Smarty Pants) and Tony Hale (Forky).

Additional returning cast members include John Ratzenberger as Hamm; Wallace Shawn as Rex, Blake Clark as Slinky Dog, Annie Potts as Bo Peep, Bonnie Hunt as Dolly, Melissa Villaseñor as Karen Beverly, John Hopkins as Mr. Pricklepants, Kristen Schaal as Trixi, Ernie Hudson as Combat Carl and Keanu Reeves as Duke Caboom.

Veteran voice actors Jeff Bergman and Anna Vocino will be voicing Mr and Mrs Potato Head as they take over the roles from Don Rickles and Estelle Harris, who have both passed away.

Pixar and Disney release the first official trailer for Toy Story 5, which will hit theaters in June

Check out the official synopsis and trailer for Toy Story 5 below, via Disney and Pixar.

“The toys are back and this time, Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jessie and the rest of the gang’s jobs are challenged when they come face-to-face with Lilypad (voice of Greta Lee), a brand-new tablet device that arrives with her own disruptive ideas about what is best for their kid, Bonnie. Will playtime ever be the same? The trailer also teases the anticipated reunion of Woody and Buzz following Woody’s decision to leave the gang and start helping lost toys at the end of 2019’s Toy Story 4. As the toys face the tech devices of today, it’s going to be all hands on deck with some familiar and all-new characters.”

Since the release of Toy Story in 1995, the Toy Story franchise has generated over $3.3 billion in worldwide box office revenue across four films, making it one of the highest-grossing animated series in history.
