Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has shared his reaction to Taylor Swift’s song ‘Wood’ on her new album The Life of a Showgirl. In the song, Swift directly references Kelce’s manhood.

During the Wednesday, October 8 episode of New Heights — the Kelce brother’s first podcast following the release of The Life of a ShowgirlJason Kelce barreled right into asking his brother to share his thoughts on ‘Wood’.

“Forgive me, it sounds cocky / He ah-matized me and opened my eyes / Redwood tree, it ain’t hard to see / His love was the key that opened my thighs” Swift sings on ‘Wood,’ the 9th track on her new album The Life of a Showgirl

“Do you feel cocky about the song ‘Wood’?” Jason Kelce asked on the latest episode of their New Heights podcast.

“No. Any song that she references me in…” Travis began before Jason interrupted, “That’s not just any song. This is a very specific you… It’s not just you, though. It’s an appendage.”

“What?” Travis sarcastically replied. “I think you’re not understanding the song. No way!” adding that ‘Wood’ is a “great song.”

Despite Kelce’s glowing review and the predictable massive sales figures, The Life of a Showgirl has been received quite mildly at large, with Swift receiving particular criticism for her branding/sale techniques and the use of AI in her videos.
