‘Stay Away From Ojos Locos’: Australians Move To Texas. Then They Take Family To Twin Peaks For The First Time On A Friday Night Without Doing Research First

An Australian family relocated to Texas and decided to stop by Twin Peaks, a restaurant that looked busy on a Friday night. However, they got more than they bargained for after they were seated with their young children.

In a video with over 560,000 views, TikTokers Andrew and Laura (@itsandrewandlaura) shared a shocking experience they had shortly after moving to the U.S. They sat at a booth inside Twin Peaks, a sports bar known for its servers who wear revealing outfits.

“It looked like a cool place on the outside,” Andrew remarked. Laura continued, “We’re just surrounded by a–.”

The couple joked that they tried not to look at the waitresses while waiting for their food and blamed themselves for not researching the restaurant first.

In an email to BroBible, the couple said, “We had just been on a family walk when we decided to just find somewhere on the way home to have dinner. We’d driven past Twin Peaks a few times before and thought it looked cool. Like an American restaurant with a Colorado/lodge style vibe.”

Later in the clip, the couple remarked that the food was delicious and the staff was friendly. Eventually, Andrew switched seats with his wife so that he faced the wall rather than the rest of the dining room.

However, Laura addressed the comments questioning why he switched seats.

“The fact that Andrew switched seats with me, it was NOT so that he could face the wall. It was because my daughter wanted him to sit next to her!” Laura clarified in the email.

“We really enjoyed the food and music, so we would probably still go back on a normal day, maybe for lunch next time,” they continued.

What Happens At Twin Peaks On Friday Nights?

Twin Peaks servers typically wear cleavage-revealing tops during the week. However, Friday nights draw a crowd as the staff wear even more risqué outfits.

Each location may have different themed nights, but one Twin Peaks in Fort Worth hosts lingerie nights every Friday. The servers swap their usual paid tops for a full set of black lingerie to serve discounted food and drinks.

However, not all Twin Peaks servers sport lingerie on themed nights.

According to an Ask Me Anything post on Reddit by a Twin Peaks server, workers can opt out of lingerie nights if they are uncomfortable with the revealing outfits.

“For my location, if you’re not okay with it, they just won’t schedule you that day, but some will just let you wear the normal one that day,” the server shared.

Have Other Couples Made The Same Mistake?

Andrew and Laura aren’t the only couple to accidentally stumble into Twin Peaks on a themed Friday night. BroBible previously reported that one couple, who usually frequents Twin Peaks during the week, was shocked when they went on a Friday night. They remarked that the environment was similar to a “strip club.”

In the comments on the Australian couple’s viral TikTok, others say they’ve accidentally ended up at places like Hooters, Twin Peaks, and Ojos Locos during themed nights.

“I asked my daughter where she wanted to eat, and she chose Twin Peaks. We ordered water because my daughter was speechless. Needless to say she asked if we could go somewhere else before we ordered food,” a father wrote.

Another commenter shared, “Stay away from Ojos Locos on a Friday. We were blind sided. We just wanted some beers and tacos and we got a lot more than that I nearly died.”

Some advise the new U.S. residents about the unique side of American “breastaurant” culture and assure them that their mistake was “no big deal.”

“We really enjoy Twin Peaks, always great, good, and literally no more skin showing than going to the beach,” one wrote.

“We go on the weekend as a family. They have great food. They are more covered than girls at the beach and pool,” a second commented.

The couple told BroBible that they have Hooters in Australia. However, it’s a completely different vibe.

“We do have Hooters on the Gold Coast in Australia. However, it is genuinely known as a family restaurant. The waitresses are not dressed very raunchy at all,” they wrote. “We certainly were NOT expecting a ‘breastraunt’ when we saw the Twin Peaks sign… but it all makes sense now!”
