Recently, a woman on TikTok who interviewed for a server job at the restaurant chain wondered whether her appearance played a role in the interview going badly. Commenters had lots of thoughts.
What Went Wrong During Her Twin Peaks Server Interview?
In her viral video, which has garnered over 3.5 million views, TikTok creator Ju (@wther0ses) sat in her car filming a short outfit check.
“Guys tell me why my twin peaks interview was like 3 minutes and he asked me what i’m like and asked to do a 360 and said they’d call me if they need me,” she wrote on the video’s overlay text. “Am I cooked?”
She then pans the camera toward her outfit. She’s wearing minimal jewelry, jeans, her natural curly hair, and a Skims brown top. Commenters didn’t think it was appropriate for an interview at Twin Peaks.
‘Of Course It Ended In 3 Minutes’
In the comments under the video, viewers didn’t hold back with their opinions.
“No glam, hair not done, no nails, jeans, t shirt,” one viewer wrote. “Of course it ended in 3-minutes.”
“I work there and normally if you don’t try the uniform on during the interview they’re not gonna call back,” stated another.
A third commenter didn’t think she should bother with the restaurant chain. “Girl you’d make more at texas roadhouse or first watch,” they wrote. “It’s such a mid job.”
Ju responded to the negative comments, writing, “sorry yall i didn’t know fully what to wear, i felt pretty in the moment. i see where i went wrong but i didn’t mean to make anyone mad or anything like that, i really do apologize.”
What Do You Wear To A Twin Peaks Interview?
Across many server-related Reddit threads, users mostly agree that applicants should adhere to a specific “look” when interviewing for a Twin Peaks server job.
One Redditor on r/restaurant suggested that applicants wear plenty of jewelry as well as do their nails, hair, and makeup to increase their chances of getting a manager’s immediate approval.
However, users have also shared tips that have nothing to do with appearance, such as interviewing at a time when the restaurant isn’t busy. That way, managers have more time to talk to candidates.
