‘Let’s Go See How Much These Girls Know’: Idaho Twin Peaks Server Asks Her Co-Workers The Most Basic College Football Question Imaginable. Here’s What They Answered Back

Some might assume that working at a sports bar like Twin Peaks requires a basic knowledge of, well, sports. But according to one Twin Peaks bartender in Idaho, that’s not always the case.

In a now-trending TikTok video, Madie (@madieoverthere), who works at the Boise, Idaho, location, decided to quiz her co-workers on one simple thing: who Boise State was playing that day. The answers were a mix of guesses, shrugs, and straight-up cheating.

Do Twin Peaks Servers Keep Up With College Football?

“Let’s go see how much these girls know about college football,” Madie says at the start of the video.

The first co-worker repeats the question—“Who is BSU playing?”—with a grin but doesn’t give an answer. Another server, Hailey, smirks and immediately walks away when the camera pans over to her.

Next up is a girl who pulls out her phone to ask Siri. “Disqualified using Siri,” Madie writes in on-screen text.

One server simply throws her hands in the air with a “don’t ask me” shrug, while another sits on the floor with the same blank expression, saying, “I don’t know.”

Finally, one woman confidently says, “New Mexico!”—and she’s actually right. But according to Madie, the manager gave her the answer behind the scenes. “Manager answered her question in the back so she cheated and is a liar,” she joked on-screen.

Who Was BSU Playing That Day?

Boise State was, in fact, playing the University of New Mexico, and they won. The final score was 41–25, with quarterback Maddux Madsen completing 21 of 31 passes for 226 yards and two touchdowns. BSU ran 86 offensive plays to New Mexico’s 54.

Should Sports Bar Staff Know Who’s Playing?

Many people online think so, especially when it comes to bartenders. They’re often the ones controlling the remote, switching between channels, and making sure local games are on.

One Reddit user in r/barowners said it’s one of their biggest complaints about their staff.

“I’m sick of my bartenders not having the proper games on the proper TVs,” they wrote. “I came in on a Saturday to find that even though there were 20 college games going on, my bar of 16 TVs happened to have 1 game playing. 3 TVs on golf, 3 on infomercials, and the rest on random talk sports shows.”

Other users chimed in with the same frustration. Some suggested posting reminders for staff, updating daily lists of priority games, or assigning someone to keep track of scheduling.

So, Is Twin Peaks A Good Place To Watch Sports?

According to Twin Peaks itself, yes. Their website calls it “the #1 sports bar” and says the chain offers “wall-to-wall TVs with sports from every angle.”

Plenty of customers seem to agree, pointing to the sheer number of TVs and their proximity to tables as a reason they keep coming back.
