A former Twin Peaks server has sparked concern online after sharing a story about a regular customer whose behavior crossed a major line.
In a recent video that has garnered over 1.8 million views, TikTok creator Sasha (@countblabla) recounted the disturbing experience from when she worked at Twin Peaks at 18 or 19 years old.
What Did The Regular Twin Peaks Customer Do?
She explains that one regular customer came in every Sunday morning, often sitting in her section. At first, nothing about him stood out beyond the usual dynamics of the job.
“He was really weird,” she says. “But that’s kind of like the job that you signed up for.”
At that age, she says she didn’t think much about the dangers of the job, focusing more on the kind of money she was making.
“I didn’t realize how weird men were,” she says. “It was just like, ‘Oh, he’s giving me money. Whoo! I’m gonna go buy a smoothie.’”
The man eventually started sitting in her action more and more often.
“He would tip like a hundred to two hundred dollars,” she says. “He had, like, an iced tea and a burger and then tipped you a couple hundred, and he went on his way.”
Sasha says the man’s behavior didn’t seem aggressive or weird. Over time, though, it escalated. “The more he sat with me, the weirder he got,” she says.
First, he started showing her floor plans of his house since he was renovating it.
“I’m sitting there acting interested for the hour that he’s gonna be eating lunch,” she recalls. “And nothing’s wrong. Nothing seems weird about it, right?”
The following week, he asked her a question that initially seemed harmless.
“He’s like, ‘Hey, do you eat meat?’” she says. When she answered yes, he told her, “’I’m just trying to put a menu together for you.’”
She says she didn’t think much of it at the time, as some customers had given gift cards or sent food before.
Then He Mentioned A Dungeon
The next Sunday, however, it got really concerning. “He starts going over the basement floor plans,” she says. “And he’s like, ‘So I’m building a dungeon in my basement.’”
At first, she assumed he was joking. But then he clarified.
“When I asked if you eat meat, it’s because I’m wondering what I should feed you every day,” she recounts him saying. She says the man explicitly told her he would “drug” and “kidnap” her.
At that point, she says, it no longer felt like a joke. “So I’m freaking out because at this point, it doesn’t sound like a joke anymore,” she says.
She reported the comments to her manager. According to Sasha, management spoke to the man and told him he couldn’t talk to servers that way. However, he was ultimately not banned from the restaurant.
“That was it,” she says. From that point forward, she had to be escorted to and from her car every shift. The man continued coming in on Sundays, but he just no longer sat in her section.
She adds that this wasn’t the only alarming situation she experienced while working in Arizona.
One former regular later tracked down her new job and insisted she be the one to serve him, refusing to leave unless she did. That customer was eventually banned.
Another man once stayed past closing and waited for her in the alley behind the building. She says she photographed his license plate, only to realize it was a rental car.
“Every job I basically have had when I worked in Arizona,” she says, required someone to walk her to and from her car because of incidents that began at Twin Peaks.
Commenters Find The Behavior Concerning
In the comments, viewers didn’t think management handled the man’s behavior appropriately.
“Manager?” one user wrote. “Girl you should have made a report to the police.”
“WAIT HOW WAS HE NOT BANNED FOR THAT??????” exclaimed another.
“Imagine being a regular at freaking Twin Peaks,” stated another. “That’s just sad.”
Is Working As A Twin Peaks Server Safe?
Twin Peaks servers have previously spoken out about what they describe as a toxic work environment, whether due to poor management or intense pressure to maintain a specific appearance, including doing hair and makeup every day.
These types of complaints appear to be among the most common when it comes to the Twin Peaks serving job.
Others online, however, have shared that working at a “brestaurant” similar to Twin Peaks can also create unsafe situations. One user on r/askreddit said she worked at another sports bar, Tilted Kilt, and claimed a colleague “roofied her” at a party.
Another former Hooters employee said the restaurant compromised her safety by giving her phone number to a customer, leading her to promptly leave that job.
Additionally, there are reports of customers acting in extremely inappropriate ways toward the servers.
