Dallas Woman Goes To Twin Peaks For Job Interview. And The Manager Takes Her Photos And Says It’s For ‘Corporate’

One woman shared what it was like interviewing for a job at Twin Peaks. However, viewers focused on one unusual step in the process—photos taken of her in the server uniform.

TikTok creator Mariah Ayers (@mariahreae19) posted a short clip documenting getting hired “on the spot” for the server job, in a clip that was viewed over 13,000 times.

“OK, guys, I’m here,” she says while sitting in her car. “Wish me luck. I’m nervous.”

The clip cuts to her returning to the car to grab her shorts after interviewers asked her to try on the server uniform.

“It’s going well so far. He’s talking to me like I have the job already,” she says. “So we’re gonna send these pictures to corporate, and hopefully they feel the same.”

The video then cuts to Ayers in the uniform before returning to her car, where she shares more details about the interview. She says the manager asked some general questions before getting down to the “nitty gritty.”

“We went through the guidelines and stuff, makeup and everything,” she says.

Ayers says another server had to help her with the top part of the uniform because tying it can be confusing.

“Y’all, that top was tight, okay?” she says. “I’m already little and petite, and I was in there struggling.”

She then describes the moment the managers photographed her in the uniform.

“So I walked out. Manager standing there with another manager,” she says. “And they take a picture from the front, the side, the back.”

“You’re gonna have all the people feeling bad about themselves,” she recalls the manager telling her.

Then Corporate Approves

The manager then informed her that corporate approved her, at which point he introduced her to the general manager.

“He asked me where I served before, how much I made,” she says. “He was telling me, like, ‘No, you’re gonna make bank.’”

She expresses excitement about the new job at the end of the clip.

“I am your new Twin Peaks girl,” she says. “That was so easy. Probably the easiest interview I’ve ever done.”

Commenters React

“Fun fact. This pictures don’t go to “corporate”, they get stored and they use that picture every week to make sure you’re the same size lol,” one viewer claimed.

“It was obvious you were going to be hired on the spot about 2 seconds into this video lol,” another wrote.

Other Twin Peaks servers have previously claimed that if management asks applicants to try on the uniform, it’s often a sign they got the job.

What Are These Pictures Actually Used For?

Others have reported that photos do happen during the hiring process. They also confirmed that management allegedly says they’re sent to corporate for approval.

One user asked about the process on Reddit’s r/serverlife.

“I went into the restaurant for my audition last week and I was told it would take corporate 3–4 days to approve my pictures and now it’s been a week,” they wrote. “I’ve seen some people get approved within 2 days, does this mean I didn’t get the job?”

Another user on Indeed wrote, “They do send your pictures in for approval. Generally if they mention a second interview that may mean no. Usually if they feel like you will be approved they’ll go ahead and set your days for training.”

While there’s no confirmation that the photos have anything to do with weight, there are reports online claiming Twin Peaks can be strict about appearance standards.

“Some girls would gain weight after getting the job and managers would have to sit them down and have the talk with them which is basically you need to eat better and exercise,” one Redditor wrote on r/AMA.
