The scene stealers from Season 3 of The White Lotus have been pretty clear through 5 episodes: Walton Goggins (Rick), Aimee Lou Wood (Chelsea), Patrick Schwarzenegger (Saxon), Parker Posey (Victoria), and of course, the printed short-sleeve ‘Hawaiian’ shirts. This past week, the shirt worn by ‘Lochlan’ on The White Lotus was so popular it sold out before the episode has even aired on the West Coast.
That shirt is named ‘Reptile Dysfunction‘ and sold by the Tombolo Company, something many of us learned through X (née Twitter) after it sold out. Though it’s currently available for pre-order (again) on the Tombolo website. But there is one dude among us who knew that this shirt was straight fire long before the rest of us saw Lochlan wearing in on the yacht headed to the Full Moon Party.
Josh Johns (@JoshRJohns16) is a man of style. He works for Homefield Apparel so that should come as no surprise as they make the best College Football apparel around and the gap is so wide they really don’t have any peers at this point. It’s Homefield Apparel on the mountain top and the rest of the CFB merch world a mile behind. Well, he went viral after this week’s White Lotus episode courtesy of his glorious Hawaiian shirts.
If it had happened just once, that would be a funny coincidence but…Twice?
His post on X has already been seen 3.2 million times and counting. Bonkers numbers for a post that’s essentially a dude flexing on everyone else with the best taste in Hawaiian shirts around. The replies are incredible, the official Max account replied ‘you got style’ while others asked “Brother drop the links to where you are shopping these days.”
Of course, because this went viral on X there were a lot of haters. A lot of non-believers. People outlandishly claiming our Homefield Apparel brother over here isn’t the man of style we know he is and somehow this is all a ruse…. Well, they’re wrong because he flexed on them with this photo from the Prague Zoo in 2023 wearing the same shirt:
Haters are saying it’s staged, ok, then explain this picture of me and my Kangaroo pals at the Prague Zoo in 2023??? pic.twitter.com/L1PHX0sRUa

After his posts BLEW UP on X, he issued a challenge to Mike White who is the creator of Teh White Lotus. Be a REAL MAN and put these sets in the final two episodes. They’re perfect:
Put it in the finale, cowards. 🪷 pic.twitter.com/Dt3Bb7QMiV

That one ‘Menswear Guy’ on X who we were all forced to see every single thing he posts after Elon took over and tweaked the algorithm, he gets a ton of attention in the menswear space, but it’s evident we’ve got a new icon on the streets.
All of this has also shone a light on how millennial men have been dying for short-sleeve button downs/Hawaiian shirts to see a revival. BroBible publisher/my colleague Brandon Wenerd nailed it last night with this tweet:
the millennial men groupthink about all the shirts male characters in White Lotus are wearing is the most real thing ever. https://t.co/2tYr5MkJaq

Again, for those looking for the ‘Reptile Dysfunction’ shirt head over to Tombolo through the link at the top of this article. We don’t make any money on that/it’s not an affiliate link, I just wanted to point you all in the right direction. And go toss ‘Society Von Tees’ a follow on X!
In other new, I can’t stop saying ‘Piper noooooo. Tsunami. Buddhism.’ in my head. I need help.
