A clip of The Boys star Erin Moriarty suggesting that she was under the influencer while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! went viral on social media this week. However, there is nothing to suggest that Moriarty was intoxicated and therefore cannot be taken as fact.
Erin Moriarty, who stars on The Boys as Annie January/Starlight appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday, March 25 to promote The Boys’ fifth and final season, and a clip from the interview went viral — but not for the reasons Amazon’s PR team hoped or had in mind.
A viral tweet suggested that The Boys star Erin Moriarty was intoxicated while promoting the show on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
A tweet from @haworthes, which racked up 437,000 views, read: “Erin Moriarty drunk asf on Jimmy Kimmel rn and I’m in tears she’s a ki man,” with a follow-up video post adding “she too lit LMAOOOO she’s funny man.”
Despite the viral tweet, there is nothing concrete to suggest that Moriarty was drunk, or under the influence of any substances, while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

The fifth and final season of The Boys, one of Prime Video’s biggest ever series, will premiere on the streamer on Wednesday, April 8, dropping two episodes on launch day before shifting to weekly releases through the May 20 finale.
Moriarty has been quote emotional about the end of the show throughout the press run. When filming wrapped last July, she shared on IG that “the tears have begun,” adding: “I said goodbye to most of my work family today and I’ll be ready to smile about it when I’m ready to smile about it.”
Starlight was a breakout role for Moriarty’s career, so it’s understandable that she’s so emotionally invested in the role.
