Speculation is brewing about who is paying for Nick Reiner’s legal fees now that the suspected murderer has hired one of the most high-profile attorneys in the country, Alan Jackson.
Earlier this week, 32-year-old Nick Reiner — who has been booked on two counts of first degree homicide for allegedly murdering his parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer — made his first appearance in court alongside his attorney Alan Jackson.
Jackson has previously represented the likes of Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey, in addition to many others.
In a segment on Fox News, Nancy Grace speculated that Rob Reiner and Michele Singer — the parents he allegedly murdered — could be the ones paying for Nick’s lawyers.

On Wednesday, Jackson made a statement following Reiner’s first court appearance and said that while they acknowledge this is a “devastating tragedy,” there are also very “complex and serious issues” associated with the case.
“This is a devastating tragedy that has befallen the Reiner family. We all recognize that,” Jackson said.
“There are very, very complex and serious issues that are associated with this case. Those need to be thoroughly, but very carefully dealt with and examined and looked at and analyzed. We ask that during this process you allow the system to move forward in the way that it was designed to move forward — not with a rush to judgment, not with jumping to conclusions.”

Reiner’s siblings Jake and Romy also released a statement on his heinous crime, which ended the lives of their parents Michele Singer and Rob Reiner, who was the director of iconic films such as This Is Spinal Tap, A Few Good Men, When Harry Met Sally, The Princess Bride, Stand by Me and Misery.
“Words cannot even begin to describe the unimaginable pain we are experiencing every moment of the day. The horrific and devastating loss of our parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, is something that no one should ever experience. They weren’t just our parents; they were our best friends,” the statement reads.
“We are grateful for the outpouring of condolences, kindness, and support we have received not only from family and friends but people from all walks of life,” the statement continues. “We now ask for respect and privacy, for speculation to be tempered with compassion and humanity, and for our parents to be remembered for the incredible lives they lived and the love they gave.”
Reiner’ charges carry a maximum sentence of life in prison or the death penalty with no possibility of parole.
