Most people would have trouble resisting the urge to hop on stage to perform with a famous musician if given the chance, but a woman in Slovakia managed to blow up her own spot after getting the opportunity to do exactly that at a Macklemore concert.
I think most people know there are certain rules to want to adhere to if you end up in a situation where you’re a fugitive from justice; even if you’ve never personally found yourself facing that conundrum, you probably know it’s a good idea to keep a low profile to avoid attracting the attention of authorities.
However, one woman failed to keep that fairly critical guideline in mind when she attended a music festival in Slovakia last weekend.
According to a Facebook post that was shared by the country’s national police force, an unnamed 24-year-old who originally hails from Slovenia was one of the many people who made the trek to the Lovestream Festival that was recently held at a repurposed airport outside the capital city of Bratislava.
Macklemore was one of the headliners at an event that also boasted 50 Cent and Tiësto, and during his set, the woman in question pounced on the chance to perform with him in front of the massive crowd during a point in the show where he selected a random person to get a moment in the spotlight.
However, police say there was a man in the crowd who realized the woman bore an uncanny resemblance to someone on the country’s most-wanted list and alerted officers who waited until she wrapped up her performance with Macklemore before arresting her.
While the post didn’t specify the reason she was on the wanted list in the first place, Newsweek reports a local outlet asserts she was a 24-year-old bartender who was previously fined $890 for running onto the field at a soccer game while topless and hit with a warrant for her arrest after failing to pay it.
