‘All This Because She Didn’t Wanna Pay The Bill At A Restaurant’: Atlanta Passenger Grabs Fire Extinguisher. Then She Sprays It All Over The Airport. Is She Destined For The No-Fly List?

It’s not just you. There really have been a lot more travel-related freakouts in the past few years. According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), from 2018 to 2020, there were around 1,000 “unruly passenger” incidents annually. In 2021, however, that number skyrocketed to around 6,000. And in the years since, we’ve averaged about 2,000 “unruly passenger” incidents every year.

Sometimes, these “unruly passenger” incidents are just minor disputes that got out of hand. Other times, they can be major issues that can result in someone having trouble flying in the future.

Now, one of the more dramatic incidents is making the rounds on the internet again. But what happened to the person involved?

Who Was The Woman Who Sprayed A Fire Extinguisher At The Airport?

Recently, a video has been making the rounds again that seems to show a woman emptying a fire extinguisher on random people in the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

According to People, the incident began when airport staff questioned the woman, later identified as then-27-year-old Jennifer Kaye Holder, about whether she paid her bill at the airport’s Buffalo Wild Wings location.

In response, Holder claimed that someone else paid her bill for her. When this answer proved unsatisfactory to airport staff, she lashed out. Per reports, she attempted to enter a secured area before grabbing a fire extinguisher and beginning to spray.

The incident, which occurred in January 2023, quickly went viral. And now, it’s taken on a new life thanks to the “Nothing Beats a Jet2 Holiday” TikTok sound.

Numerous users have posted videos of this chaotic event paired with the now-famous sound. This has led many to discover the clip for the first time.

What Happened To Jennifer Kaye Holder?

Almost a year after her story went viral, bodycam footage of the event made its way to YouTube.

In the bodycam footage, one can learn more details of how the event played out. After Holder was detained by police, she appeared erratic, refusing to answer questions and insisting that she was the one being mistreated. Eventually, she calls two of the cops handling her a racial slur, and by the end of their interaction, the police have put a breathable bag over her head to prevent her from biting or spitting on them.

According to the New York Post, she was eventually charged with obstructing law enforcement officers, two counts of simple assault, and three counts of simple battery.

That said, it’s unclear what happened next. Searching through Clayton County’s court case history, available on its website, it says that Holder’s case was escalated to the state’s Supreme Court, then marked “Disposed.” This could mean that a plea deal was entered (for example, a guilty plea or plea to a lesser offense); the charge was dismissed; or that Holder was sentenced immediately, possibly with time served or probation.

BroBible has reached out to Clayton County via media contact form for clarification.

No-Fly List?

For those speculating about whether Holder is on the “No-Fly List,” it’s unlikely. Though that doesn’t mean it’s easy for her to fly. While there have been some efforts to put unruly passengers on national no-fly lists, for the time being, the government’s “No Fly List” is largely populated by those whom the government believes are involved with, or associated with, “terror activities,” per the Washington Post.

That said, airlines can and do ban passengers for unruly behavior, and it’s very possible that Holder is presently banned from Delta, the airline she was flying at the time of the event. BroBible reached out to Delta via media request Form for more information.

Whether she was banned or not, commenters under reposts of the video are hoping she’ll never have the chance to spray up an airport again.

“Oh she’s NEVER seeing the inside of a plane again,” wrote one user.

“No flight list for LIFEEEEE,” declared another.
