If you are in need of a reminder that dudes rock you have come to the right place today. Below we have a Guinness World Record for the farthest golf shot landed into a moving vehicle, a feat accomplished by Marcus Armitage and Paul O’Neill.

Furthermore, ‘Dudes Rock‘ is not to be confused with ‘Dude Rock.’ The former is a movement that empowers gentlemen to live their best lives as long as those gentlemen do, in fact, rock. While the latter is a genre of music that primarily revolves around fans throwing high fives during the encore (see Nickelback, Shinedown, Creed, etc.).

World Record For Longest Golf Shot Landed In A Moving Vehicle

Marcus Armitage is currently the 192nd ranked golfer in the world according to the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) points. He plays primarily on the DP World Tour aka the ‘European Tour’ and has been ranked as high as 121st in the past.

Marcus has two professional wins on the DP World Tour, the 2016 Foshan Open and the 2021 Porsche European Open. Suffice it to say he’s a stick on the course.

Here he smashes a drive off a mat and lands it into a moving vehicle. The golf ball travels 908 feet or 277.06 meters or ~303 yards before landing in the car. Check it out:

This Guinness World Record was established with race car driver Paul O’Neill several years ago. The clip has gone virtually unseen until recently when GWR uploaded it to TikTok and it started to go viral while the original YouTube video has less than 150K views in nearly 5 years.

It seems to be a clear case of the algorithms not working to get the right content in front of the right people because obviously, this rocks. YouTube golf would be a lot more fun with more of this and less weekend warriors competing against each other in Mr. Beast-ified videos full of jump cuts.

Just to be clear, I’m saying that more world records = good. More mediocre golfers doing mediocre things on courses while blasting music = bad.
