Three of the core original X-Men — Patrick Stewart’s Professor X, Ian McKellan’s Magneto and James Marsden’s Cyclops — all feature in the latest teaser for Avengers: Doomsday. The first two teasers for the film, which were released late last month, featured Chris Evans’ Captain America and Chris Hemsworth’s Thor.
A third Avengers: Doomsday teaser trailer featuring three original X-Men — Magneto, Professor X and Cyclops — has been released
In the trailer, Stewart’s Professor X can be seen grasping the hand of his old friend Magneto, while Cyclops let’s out an untethered optic blast in a battlefield (eagle-eyed fans have spotted what appears to be the foot of a Sentinel in the background, suggesting the Fox X-Men universe has been decimated by the infamously evil technology).
“Death comes… for us all. It’s all I know for sure. The question isn’t… are you prepared to die? The question is: who would you be… when you close your eyes?” Magento can be heard saying in the trailer.
The trailer ends by saying “The X-Men will return,” which is striking the same nostalgic tone that was seen in both the Captain America and Thor teasers (we’ll embed those below, too).
Avengers: Doomsday — the first Avengers movie since 2019’s Avengers: Endgame is set to feature a star-studded ensemble cast that features stars from multiple eras of Marvel movies.
In addition to the returning X-Men featured in the above trailer, Avengers: Doomsday is also set to star Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Pedro Pascal, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Tenoch Huert,, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Kelsey Grammar, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Joseph Quinn, David Harbour, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Tom Hiddleston, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, Channing Tatum, and Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.
