Zac Efron was hospitalized in Ibiza, Spain over the weekend in a scary incident where he had to be rescued by hotel employees after a “minor incident” in the pool.

The news of Zac Efron‘s hospitalization was first reported by TMZ who later wrote that representatives for Efron characterized it as a “minor swimming incident” but said that two employees from a hotel found Zac in the pool and had to help get him out. Efron was then taken to the hospital as a “precautionary measure.”

Zac Efron was seen a few days ago dancing on stage during Martin Garrix’s DJ set in Ibiza so he has evidently been in one of the global capitals of partying for days prior to the incident:

Flash forward a few days and everything seems fine after Efron showed off his daily workout / lifting weights on top of an exercise ball:

On the one hand, Efron’s reps say there is nothing wrong and Zac looks incredibly healthy while working out. But the flip side is being hospitalized out of precaution is quite odd, even more so for a dude who works out for several hours every single day and appears to be in some of the best shape of his life.

Efron recently starred in a Rom-Com with Nicole Kidman that flew under the radar, A Family Affair, and he has the Three Men And a Baby reboot on the way.
