Emmy-winning actress Zendaya says she plans to take a step back from acting to avoid people getting “sick of her.” Zendaya is starring in five major projects this year alone.
This Friday, Zendaya’s A24 film The Drama alongside Robert Pattinson will be hitting theaters. Then, later this month, she’ll be reprising her award-winning role as Rue in the third and final season of Euphoria.
In the summer, during blockbuster season, she’ll be starring in both Spider-Man: Brand New Day — her fourth time playing MJ — and Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey.
Finally, at the end of the year, she’ll be the co-lea alongside Timothee Chalamet in the trilogy concluding Dune: Part Three. Coincidentally enough, in addition to The Drama, Pattison is also starring in The Odyssey and Dune: Part Three.

“I just hope people don’t get sick of me. I really appreciate anyone who supports any of the movies or supports my career in any kind of way. I’m deeply appreciative,” the movie star said on Fandango’s Big Ticket podcast.
“I just hope you guys don’t get sick of me this year because I’ll tell you what — after this, I’m disappearing for a little bit. I’m going to have to go into hiding for just a little bit.”
The Drama, hitting theaters on Friday, April 3, is directed by Kristoffer Borgli (Dream Scenario), stars Zendaya and Pattinson as a couple whose relationship unravels when secrets emerge days before their wedding. You can check out the official trailer for the film below.
In the coming years, Zendaya will be voicing Shrek’s daughter in Shrek 5, which is currently scheduled to release on June 30, 2027.
