Adam West, the star of the 60’s TV adaptation has died at age 88 according to a report from the Hollywood reporter.
West died peacefully surrounded by his family and is survived by his wife Marcelle, six children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
“Our dad always saw himself as The Bright Knight and aspired to make a positive impact on his fans’ lives. He was and always will be our hero,” his family said in a statement.
West found fame recently among younger viewers with his hilarious voice over work on Family guy where he played a cartoon version of himself.
I grew up watching reruns of those old Batman shows and as corny as they were, they always put a smile on my face. RIP Mr. West.
