Bob Odenkirk and David Cross, the two minds behind the fantastic Mr. Show With Bob and David, have a new sketch comedy show that’s been picked up by Netflix.
Odenkirk nears closer to his goal of complete world domination.
Deadline Hollywood reports there will be four half-hour shows and an hourlong “making-of” special of With Bob and David.
Here is how Odenkirk and Cross describe With Bob and David: After being dishonorably discharged from the Navy SEAL, Bob and David are back serving our country the way they do best: making sketch comedy. Four half-hours of brand-new comedy featuring all new characters, all new scenes and, most importantly, all new wigs.
Mr. Show enjoyed a four-year run on HBO is an absolute gem you may have overlooked. I highly recommend rectifying that situation immediately.
And if you’re worried about this interfering with Odenkirk’s work on Better Call Saul, you can breathe easy. This project, which just started production, is being done before Season 2 of the Breaking Bad spinoff films.
Here’s hoping it’s even half as good as their previous work.
