Garry Shandling will be incredibly missed by the comedy world. Aside from one or two morons, Shandling was universally beloved as both a performer and a person.
Shandling had an incredibly impact on comedian and TV host Conan O’Brien.
On Conan on Thursday night, Conan O’Brien decided to forget the opening monologue and pay tribute to Shandling. He told the incredible story of the days after he lost The Tonight Show, when he was shell-shocked and decided to travel with his family to Hawaii. Shandling was there randomly, found O’Brien and talked him through it. And, of course, he told some jokes along the way.
