Jennifer Lawrence May Have Just Dropped An Atomic Bomb On Donald Trump’s Chances With Millennials

I’ve been ‘Team Donald’ since the first day he announced his candidacy for President of the United States, and have watched politician after politician take shots at The Donald only to see him deflect their criticisms and come out even higher in the polls. Every time I think his public support might waiver he comes back harder, better, faster, and stronger. However, America’s Sweetheart Jennifer Lawrence may have just derailed Donald Trump’s chances of securing the millennial vote after dropping what could turn out to be an atomic bomb on the Trump campaign.

While J-Law and the rest of the Hunger Games cast was speaking with Entertainment Weekly the topic of Donald Trump’s candidacy came up. Jennifer Lawrence and her fellow cast members were very quick to voice their anti-Trump opinions, and to offer up what their vision of the future is if Donald Trump goes on to be the next President of the United States of America:

“If Donald Trump becomes president, that will be the end of the world,” says Lawrence.

Her co-star Liam Hemsworth feels the same: “I’ll back you up on that,” he adds.

Josh Hutcherson, the third lead in the massive franchise, can’t quite believe Trump’s run for the presidency is legitimate. “It’s a publicity stunt,” he says. “It can’t be real.”

I find it fairly ballsy of the Lionsgate Studio to give the cast members such free reign in voicing their opinions regarding the Presidential Election. You gotta think that some pro-Trump voters are now going to be boycotting The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 after Jennifer Lawrence’s comments. That said, Jennifer then went on to voice her opinions on Hillary Clinton, so maybe the loss in ticket sales from Trump voters will be negated by the boost in ticket sales from Clinton supporters:

Lawrence doesn’t seem quite sure of his validity either. “I genuinely believe that reality television has reached the ultimate place where now even things like this might just be for entertainment,” she says. “It’s either that or it’s Hillary’s brilliant idea.”

If there’s any woman alive who could sway millennials away from voting for Donald Trump it’s Jennifer Lawrence, so I’m eager to see how her comments affect Trump’s polling numbers in the coming days. I didn’t reach out to Donald Trump for comment but if I did I like to imagine that he would just respond with this GIF:
