After 15 seasons, over 275 episodes, and thousands of pounds of explosives the Mythbusters have finally shut it down. If you’re like me then this final season of Mythbusters has been a bittersweet one, because it’s been filled with some of the best episodes in the long and storied series history, but it’s also been full of constant reminders that this was the end. Going forward we Mythbusters fans will never see a new episode from Adam, Jamie, Grant, Kari, and Tory.
The series finale of Mythbusters aired last Saturday, and to commemorate the occasion Thomas Crenshaw put together this incredible supercut (barely 3 minutes). It begins with Adam and Jamie’s demo roll and then immediately hits you with a freight train full of the feels:
Without question, Mythbusters had a larger impact on my life than any other program in television history. I probably learned more from the experiments at M5 headquarters than I did in my 4 years of college, and I consider myself very fortunate to be alive at a time when Mythbusters was on TV. The practical knowledge we all gained from their show cannot be understated, and while it will fun to relive the Mythbusters with countless TV marathons of reruns, and it’ll be exciting to see what Jamie and Adam do next, it is deeply saddening to know that the best show of my lifetime has finally run its course.
