Freedom-Loving Americans Sing ‘Proud To be An American’ Before Screening Of ‘The Interview’

A lot of people — including us here at BroBible — saw the mass distribution of Seth Rogen and James Franco’s The Interview as a proud American act; You can’t tell us what to do, People’s Republic of North Korea, and fuck you, Kim Jong-un, for trying to boss us around. So before screening “The Interview,” indie cinema Austin Alamo Drafthouse sang Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA.” The rendition is pretty terrible, but goddamn if it doesn’t make my eyes stream bald eagle tears of one Nation indivisible with liberty and justice for all.

Despite the indie distribution of The Interview, the movie still earned $1 million on Christmas Day. Take that, North Korea! The free market will prevail!

Stay weird, Austin.
