MUST-WATCH: Seth Rogen Delivered a Moving, Hilarious Speech on Capitol Hill for Alzheimer’s Research

Stop whatever the hell you’re doing and watch this. Everyone’s favorite lazy, lovable Hollywood stoner, Seth Rogen, spoke infront of a Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health, and Human Services about Alzheimer’s Research. His opening line is quite the kicker: “Yes, I’m aware this has nothing to do with the legalization of marijuana.”

Rogen launches into a testimony is heartfelt yet hilarious, discussing the social stigmas and heartache victims and their families go through from the disease. The subject is quite close to Rogen’s heart since he’s witnessed first-hand his wife’s mother deteriorate from the disease. So educate yo-self: Did you know that Alzheimer’s disease is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States? Or that rates are agressively rising? By 2050, as many as 16 million Americans will have the disease and an American will develop the disease every 33 seconds. Scary, considered many of us millenials will be in our 60s and 70s by then.

He also discusses his work with Hilarity for Charity, a group that’s actively raising money for the Alzheimer’s Association in the most Seth Rogen way possible: By getting college to volunteer their time.

Rogen’s CSPAN speech may just be the best video you’ll watch today. It’s certainly the funniest. What a stand-up guy.
