In ‘The Rock Presents: ASCENDANCE – Official Trailer’ Dwayne Johnson‘s basically spitballing all of the new media opportunities he’ll have to interact with fans on YouTube. If that sounds a bit vague then here’s the nitty gritty of The Rock’s new YouTube channel:

Once a generation, there comes an event so epic that it dominates our culture and alters our perspective on life as we know it…
Or so says this new teaser video from Dwayne Johnson and Studio71 which debuted exclusively today at VidCon 2016. The world’s largest online video conference. Multi-talented comedic entertainer Lilly Singh a.k.a. IISuperwomanII, introduced this video from Dwayne Johnson and digital entertainment company Studio71. Directed by Scott Brown, the video gave fans a sneak peek at Johnson’s new YouTube Channel, Seven Bucks Digital Studios and announced July 18 as the official launch date.

I, for one, look forward to a new era of DtRJ ruling YouTube because for my money he’s the single greatest male celebrity alive. You can watch him on screen for 10-seconds and know that he’s just as nice in person as he is on camera. Him having his own YouTube channel can only lead to great things, so be sure to subscribe if you’re a fan of The Rock!
