Check Out The Trailer For Eminem’s New Movie About Rap Battles

Eating fellow rappers for breakfast during rap battles is one of the things that help elevate Eminem to the rap god that he is today. Now Eminem is helping to bring a movie all about rap battles to the public. And no it’s not a sequel to “8 Mile.” The Detroit rapper has joined acclaimed music video director Joseph Kahn to produce a new film titled “Bodied.” The upcoming satirical movie will take a humorous look at the world of rap battles as well as examine race relations in America.

The film will focus on a young white man who thinks he’s ready to enter the world of rap battles. The movie’s synopsis: “A progressive graduate student finds success and sparks outrage when his interest in battle rap as a thesis subject becomes a competitive obsession.” The trailer features a tense rap domination between characters Megaton and MC Goggles.

Kahn has directed some of the biggest music videos for huge artists such as Dr. Dre, U2, Taylor Swift, and even Eminem. The cast includes Anthony Michael Hall, Debra Wilson, Charlamagne tha God, Alter Perez, Rory Uphold, Jackie Long, Callum Worthy, and Shoniqua Shanda. It will also star battle rappers Loaded Lux, Dizaster, Dumbfoundead, and Hollow Da Don. Eminem is a producer on the movie, but will he make a cameo? The film will premiere at the Toronto International Film festival in September.
