Electric Zoo Releases an Anti-Molly PSA for Ravers

Electric Zoo got it’s ass handed to it last Labor Day Weekend after two people died from overdosing on molly. The last day of the festival was canceled and it resulted in a massive PR quagmire, especially about the general use of MDMA at EDM shows. This year E-Zoo is waging a preemptive war against molly use with a public safety campaign called “Come To Life.” In it’s own words, it’s about keeping it PLUR as fuck and “rolling life, not face.”

Come To Life – or CTL – is about rolling life, not face. It’s about not missing one moment of the lights, the music, the celebration. It’s about connecting with music lovers from around the world who’ve come together to experience the time of their lives. It’s about being present and making the right choices. Every moment of Electric Zoo is for you – don’t miss any of it.

..

Your enjoyment and safety are our top priorities at Electric Zoo, and they should be for you and your crew too. Please take care of yourself, watch out for each other, and know that help is all around you. If you see someone who needs medical attention, rehydration, or just a helping hand, keep the positive vibe alive and be a friend to a friend in need.

Here’s an anti-molly PSA they’re trying to get viral on YouTube. Uh… I hate to be the one to ask it, but will this really discourage anyone from not eating molly? Seems like they could have gone with more of a “shock and awe” type route than a campy video that feels like a College Humor sketch making fun of raves.

Side note: The guy in the New England lacrosse tank in the background cracked me up. Bros gonna Bro. Check out the video below, or at the “Come to Life” campaign website here.
