If You’re A Bro Who Likes Bro County, You Can Listen To Luke Bryan’s New Single On Tinder (And Try To Get Laid!)

For some reason (read: $$$$$) Tinder is getting into the music game. Personally, I like some church-and-state separation between my keep my non-existent sex life and the music I love. One is depressing (my non-existent sex life), the other uplifting (music… cause when it hits, you feel no pain). But hey! A casual sex app has to make money besides charging 30-somethings a monthly fee for unlimited swipes, right? Capitalism!

Today Tinder announced that Bro county super star Luke Bryan just unveiled the title-track of his new album on the app. It’s called “Kill the Lights.” Get it — lights off! Sexy time! Boning! Laying pipe! Intercourse! Tinder’s purpose has finally come full-circle.

Here’s the e-mail that landed in my inbox:

Tinder is pleased to announce the worldwide premiere of country superstar Luke Bryan’s lead single KILL THE LIGHTS, now available for exclusive listening through the popular mobile social app.

It’s easy – swipe right on Luke’s branded profile card, get a special link and you’re instantly re-directed to this new piece of country music ear candy. Plus, Luke has even included a special video message for fans. Happy Swiping!

And here’s why Bryan decided to unveil the song on Tinder:

“Tinder is the hottest social platform for meeting new people,” shared Luke. “That’s why I thought my title track for KILL THE LIGHTS would be perfect to premiere exclusively on the app before it comes out next Friday, August 7th. I’m happily married and not on Tinder but I hope my fans on Tinder enjoy the song – and if they’re not on Tinder, now’s the chance.”

If you want to listen to it, you have to go on Tinder. Personally, I think this is an absolutely ASAINE move by Bryan — What about the dudes who are in relationships that DON’T have Tinder on their phones but want to listen to Luke Bryan’s song? I can just imagine a guy begging forgiveness to his girlfriend when she sees him dicking around on the app just so he could hear some new bro country anthem. Not a very Bro move, Luke.

And don’t give me that “wait until it’s released on iTunes next week” bullshit.

New content distribution methods are the way of the future, but an app whose mission is to get people laid should probably just stay an app whose mission is to get people laid.
