INTERVIEW: Country Star Luke Bryan On Jockey Outdoors™ Collection

Luke Bryan

We all know Jockey makes apparel with the spirit of everything we love in America. Now the 146-year-old brand is back with a new collection that combines two more star-spangled passions: the great outdoors and country music. This month, Jockey announced the launch of the Jockey Outdoors™ Collection by country music superstar Luke Bryan. Luke and his wife Caroline have served as brand ambassadors for Jockey since August 2020.

With the Jockey Outdoors™ Collection, men don’t have to sacrifice comfort for performance. Providing more than just protection, you could say these outdoor clothes are a lot like the guys they’re built for: tough on the outside, and soft — but strong — on the inside.

The launch of this collection will be providing more than just durable, comfortable threads. Through the end of 2022, Jockey will donate a portion of sales of the Outdoors™ Collection to the Jockey Being Family Foundation to support adoptive and foster families across the United States, a cause Jockey has championed since 2005.

We sat down with Luke Bryan to find out more about the Outdoors™ Collection, hosting the upcoming CMAs, and his relationship with Jockey.

On what you like to do when you spend time outdoors with your family…

Luke Bryan

My boys and I love to fish and hunt and get away to do that as much as we can. It is a great time to talk and hear what’s going on in their lives. Being outdoors just grounds me. It takes me back to my childhood when I grew up doing the same things with my dad as I do now with my boys. Getting back to nature is an easy way to unload the stress of life. And often song ideas come to me during these times.

On his next music releases…

When I heard “Country On” for the first time, I felt the message was perfect for our world right now. It touched on a lot of important people who make everyday living happen for so many.

On hosting the upcoming Country Music Awards with Peyton Manning…

We have been great friends for many years now. I am really looking forward to hosting alongside Peyton. He has a great sense of humor. And he really is a fan of country music, so it’s a great fit.

On what it means to be a Brand Ambassador for Jockey…

Luke Bryan

Jockey is such a strong family-owned company. The clothes Jockey makes, the comfort and quality, and how they stand behind them; that’s what’s important to me.

On what sets the Outdoors™ Collection apart from other outdoor apparel…

I can’t think of anything more fitting for my brand than Jockey Outdoors. I am very vocal about my love for being outdoors, so teaming up with them made perfect sense. We have worked side by side in creating a line that I am very proud of. The quality and the details just blew me away. Excited to get this going with them.

On being able to contribute to the Jockey Being Family Foundation

Caroline and I are truly happy to serve as ambassadors for the Jockey Being Family Foundation as they help provide resources and support to post-adoption organizations to help strengthen adoptive families once an adoption is finalized.
