Reef Just Released Four New Colors Of Their Ridiculously Comfortable Shoreline Del Mar Sneakers

Back in August 2025, I wrote an article about a new shoe drop that caught my eye because surfing demigod Rob Machado called them his “daily driver.” The shoe was the REEF Shoreline Del Mar, and since I picked up a pair for myself, I can confidently say: Rob was right.

Available on Reef.com for $95, these shoes have easily claimed the top spot as my absolute favorite barefoot sneakers in rotation. I wear them every day, and often all day long. When it comes to pure, unadulterated comfort and actual foot support—which is a massive priority for me now that mid-life plantar fasciitis is a real thing—they absolutely smoke all the traditional slip-ons and boat shoes I used to live in. I’ll always respect the classics, but at this stage of the game, I just don’t have the patience for anything less than walking on a cloud.

If you live any sort of active, outdoor, or beach-adjacent lifestyle, you know the struggle of finding the perfect everyday sneaker. You want something you can slip on for a bike ride, wear down to the sand, easily kick off at the beach, and put back on without dealing with sand-crusted socks. For me, navigating the California coast, the Del Mar does all of that. I love that you can slip right into them for a coffee or Costco run.

They’re perfectly cozy, endlessly comfortable, and—crucially—not crazy expensive at $95.

Well, I’m bringing them back to your radar today because REEF just dropped four brand-new colorways of the Shoreline Del Mar, and they are incredibly clean. After seeing their latest colorways, I’m fully convinced that it’s time to upgrade.

Why The Del Mar Is The Ultimate “Daily Driver”

If you missed my review last year, here is a quick refresher on why these kicks are genuinely top-tier:

Zero Swamp Foot: I hate wearing socks in the summer. The Del Mar features a highly breathable engineered knit upper that keeps the air flowing. You can wear them barefoot all day in 90-degree heat, and your feet will actually stay cool.

Insane, Cloud-Like Comfort: REEF packed these things with an eTPU Insole and what they call a “Gravity Pod” heel. You don’t need to be a shoe scientist to understand what that means once you put them on—every single step has a soft, trampoline-like bounce. It’s all-day comfort that doesn’t quit, whether you’re handling dad duties, running errands, or killing time during an airport layover.

No More Tying Laces: The elastic lace system is an absolute game-changer. You get the secure look of a lace-up sneaker, but you can just slip them on and off in two seconds. It’s the perfect blend of lazy and efficient. (And yes, they include regular laces in the box if you’re a traditionalist).

The Price: At a time when everyday sneakers are creeping up toward the $150-$200 mark, REEF has kept the Shoreline Del Mar at a highly approachable $90.

Four clean new colorways. Free shipping via REEF.com. Unbeatable barefoot comfort.

Grab a pair before your favorite new colorway sells out. Speaking for myself and myself only, I’m going for that beautiful Navy/White/Red colorway.
