Victoria’s Secret is one of the worlds top lingerie retailers and has been for several years now. It has completely transformed the way men and women look at underwear by making it sexy to be sexy again.
Over the years, Victoria’s Secret has provided us with some of the most beautiful women ever to roam the Earth, mostly from Brazil, modeling lingerie that we can all go and purchase at almost any shopping center in the United States. It especially comes in handy around February 14th each year.
Where else can you go and act like a kid in the candy store when it comes to buying lingerie you plan on stripping from your woman not long after?
So let’s take a look at why Victoria’s Secret is winning at life but more importantly, dominating Valentine’s Day.

I have spent the last few nights conducting monumental research to find out everything I could about the history of Victoria's Secret and Valentine's Day. The best I could find dates back to 2004. But since we all know that Victoria's Secret has been around since the 70's, it is tough to beleive they didn't start Valentine's Day specials until 2004. Here are a few highlights of the years prior to 2004.
1977 – The Beginning
It wasn't anything close to what the brand has become today but it was groundbreaking and began what has become the biggest lingerie retailer in the world.
1979 – Two Years Later
It didn't take long before Victoria's Secret began tempting with our lustful sides. Playboy spent millions showing off naked women while Victoria's Secret spent millions showing off women in lingerie and shared the same success.
1980's – Then Came the 80's
I remember the 80's, do you? It was one of the most awkward times for young men as they grew into men. Most parents didn't buy Playboy and if they did, Pops had it stashed away. So we were left with our parents buying a lingerie catalog. It was also the moment you realized Valentine's Day was forever going to be changed. Flowers are great but naughty lingerie from VS is going to make any woman smile.
1990's – The 90's Changed Lingerie

With the help of Victoria's Secret, Valentine's Day has become every man's favorite holiday. But the holiday changed completely when Victoria's Secret introduced the Angels in 1997. Since then Victoria's Secret has spent millions of dollars advertising anything from Valentine's Day perfume to garters. They weren't brought in strictly for Valentine's Day but they have become a big reason for Victoria's Secrets success on the most loving holiday of the year.
2000 – The Beginning of a Decade of Excess

You would have to win the lottery to afford the Fantasy Bra by Victoria's Secret. This bra is so ridiculously expensive, it has ranged from $4.5 to $12.5 million dollars. That is a good chunk of change. But if you could afford it, more power to you. Just don't expect much from your woman next Valentine's Day. There isn't much room to top that gift.
Now let's take a quick stroll down memory lane with some of the Valentine's Day lingerie Victoria's Secret has given us over the past few years.
