Before she was known as “that naked girl from the ‘Blurred Lines’ video” Emily Ratajkowski was just another (very attractive) model on the rise.
One of the photographers she worked with during that time was New York-based world-renowned photographer Jonathan Leder.
Beginning on August 8th and running through August 22nd Jonathan Leder will be putting on display 92 photos shot mostly on Polaroid between 2011 and 2015 at the Superchief Gallery in Los Angeles. Emily Ratajkowski is one of the ladies who will be among the models on display. And when we say on display, we mean naked. I’ve seen some stuff.
Also among the many models who will be featured are a couple you might also know, Britany Nola, Playboy’s Miss November 2012, and Kayslee Collins, Playboy’s Miss February 2015. (Hey, we do know her!)
“These images were never made for any commercial purpose,” Leder says. “Some were for random editorial projects, where a magazine would come to me and say, ‘We have 20 pages; do whatever you want.’ Over time, I have come to recognize that what were initially casual photographic encounters have become an important body of my work.”
