Andy Roddick pinned Novak Djokovic against a locker following a U.S. Open match. Roddick doesn’t say when the match occurred but the two exchanged barbs in the press before their 2008 quarterfinal match.
Roddick mocked Djokovic’s injuries during a press conference saying: “If it’s there, it’s there. There’s just a lot. You know, he’s either quick to call a trainer or he’s the most courageous guy of all time. I think it’s up for you guys to decide.”
Then he joked that Novak’s ailments included SARS, Bird flu and Anthrax.
Following the match, which Djokovic won handily 6-2, 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 this happened.
Roddick later apologized for his comments and it appeared there were no hard feelings between the two. But this story might incite a feud, a feud Fox Sports Live would love. Presumably, of course.
