On April 23rd against Boston, Jason Kidd hit a three-pointer with 1:01 left in the first quarter. He has not scored since. An amazing stretch of seven scoreless games. In that time, Kidd has played 161 minutes and missed 14 consecutive shots.
That’s simply remarkable. At some point you’d think he’d stumble into a basket. Perhaps one of those that clank off the heel and magically find it’s way into the hoop. But no.
We often talk about unbeatable sports records, Wilt’s 100 points , DiMaggio’s 56-game hitting streak, Jack’s 18 majors. Will we one day speak of Jason Kidd’s scoreless streak in the same breath? One can only hope.
