Southern Comfort’s “Whatever’s Comfortable” ad campaign has been awkwardly delightful. It began with a fat guy with an epic ‘stache strolling down the beach in a Speedo and continues with a karate demonstration in a hair salon.
We’ve all done a little karate in our day, but it’s usually in the privacy of our own home right after watching 3 Ninjas. It takes a man truly comfortable in his skin to put on an Uncle Ricoesque exhibition in a ladies’ hair salon. That’s what Southern Comfort is all about these days. Do what makes you happy regardless of what someone else thinks. It’s the non-obnoxious version of YOLO.
