Redditor Ramesses_Deux visualized City Data’s list of the to counties with “the highest percentage of residents that keep firearms around their homes.” In order to get such a headcount, one ASSUMES this means registered firearms that would be public knowledge, though obviously there are a gazillon bazillion unregistered firearms all across America.
A few notes:
– No Texas. Wat?
– No Florida. Double wat?
– No Deep South in general, sans Louisiana, actually.
Louisiana and Pennsylvania are the only two states that seem to be truly packing heat — Louisiana has three counties on the list (…I know, I know… you call them Perishes) and Pennsylvania has three counties on the list.
In fact, as someone who grew up deep in the heart of Sheetz country in Pennsatucky, I’m not surprised Franklin County, Pennsylvania made this list at all.
