Earlier this year, as part of his “year-long project”, Mark Zuckerberg announced that he wanted to build an artificial intelligence platform called JARVIS that’s basically the equivalent of HAL (“a Heuristically programmed ALgorithmic computer”) from the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey. Today Zuck released a video showing off the artificial general intelligence platform through out his home and — holy shit — the future is now.
Voiced by Morgan Freeman, JARVIS does all the Jetsons-caliber stuff around the house you’d expect. It also has jokes about Nickelback, so many sure your friends with tribal barb wire tattoos and Affliction shirts aren’t in the presence of his company unless you want your ass kicked.
