Video: Dude Arrested After Flying Piece Of Shit Helicopter Onto U.S. Capitol Lawn While Trying To Deliver Letters To Congress

You have to hand it to Doug Hughes, a 61-year-old mailman from Florida, for his determination. In an attempt to hand-deliver letters to Congress, he landed a makeshift helicopter on the lawn of the U.S. Capitol.

You see, he’s an Ideas Man. And if landing without permission on one of the nation’s most highly-protected institution is a crime, well then I guess he’s guilty.

Hughes’ letters apparently confront members of Congress over alleged corruption.

He claims a Secret Service agent visited his home and post officer where he works and asked questions related to his trip and if he planned to crash his aircraft into a building or monument.

His intentions of a flight dates back to 2013, according to his website, The Democracy Club, plans he divulged to the Tampa Bay Times in case he was arrested or hurt in today’s attempt.

Look at that piece of junk. The technical word for it is a gyrocopter.

A more accurate name for it would be metal death trap.

Tax Day, man. Drives people to do some wild stuff.
