The Internet is an amazing tool. Some would argue that connectivity has made humanity better with its instant news, endless shoe shopping options on Zappos, and unlimited porn. Others would argue that it’s brought out the absolute worse of mankind, turning us into debased awful people who cowardly hide behind anonymity. It’s particularly awful for women, who are often the victims of aggressive cyberbullying, harassment, and violent threats.
John Oliver took Internet trolls to task on this week’s Last Week Tonight. It’s a segment that everyone who regularly engages with other human-beings on the Internet needs to watch.
Do better, stupid Internet trolls. And stop being such pathetic cowards.
