Leonardo DiCaprio As Well As De-Aged Robert De Niro and Al Pacino Will Star In Martin Scorsese’s Next Films

Martin Scorsese, who is one of Hollywood’s greatest directors of all-time, has some interesting projects coming up and he is tapping some of his favorite actors to star in the upcoming films. Scorcese has a myriad of projects including a Frank Sinatra biopic, an Evel Knievel biopic, and an original crime drama called The Irishman, which will feature Robert De Niro and Al Pacino.

Scorsese is also said to be working on The Devil in the White City starring Leonardo DiCaprio. The movie is a film adaptation of Erik Larson’s 2003 best-selling novel that “intertwines the true tale of the 1893 World’s Fair and the cunning serial killer who used the fair to lure his victims to their death.” DiCaprio is reportedly set to play the serial killer, Dr. H. H. Holmes. Scorsese and DiCaprio have worked wonderfully together in the past in Gangs of New York, The Aviator, The Wolf of Wall Street, and The Departed.

For The Irishman is about mobster Frank Sheeran, and is supposed to start shooting next year. The project has been talked about for nearly a quarter century now, and Scorsese’s picks for the stars have aged. So Scorsese is said to “de-age” the actors with similar technology that the studios used to transform Robert Downey, Jr. in Captain America: Civil War.

The Irishman producer Gaston Pavlovich talked about Scorsese’s ambitious plan:

You don’t use prosthetics, make-up; they have acting and the technology is able to have them go through different time ages without the prosthetics. So we’ve seen some tests and it looks extraordinary. We were able to film Bob and just do a scene. We saw it come down to when he was like 20, 40, 60, so we’re looking forward to that, from that point of view, for The Irishman … Imagine seeing what De Niro looked like in The Godfather: Part II days, that’s pretty much how you’re going to see him again.

However, this still does not fix the ongoing issue that there is no Scorsese movie with DiCaprio AND De Niro.
