We aren’t kidding when we say our officers have skills!
Great job with the 🏀 & #NYPDconnecting with the community Officer James @NYPD50Pct pic.twitter.com/lE47ECArGD— NYPD NEWS (@NYPDnews) May 26, 2017
A NYPD cop made new friends when he wowed a group of kids with his long distance range that would make Steph Curry proud. The police officer from a Bronx precinct nailed a shot from way down town.
With a crowd of adoring fans looking on, this cop from the 50th Precinct policeman doesn’t disappoint as he hits his shot from beyond the fence to a basketball court.
The police officer, who is identified as fiver-year veteran Officer James, had no doubt in his game said, “we gonna make it, trust me.”
“I enjoy interacting with the people in the community,” James said in a statement released by the NYPD. “It’s not a cliché — I really want to make a difference and inspire people.”
A “W” for the cop and a “W” for community policing.
Shoot hoops, not guns.
