If you’ve watched a YouTube video over the past few weeks, you’ve probably been slapped with a pre-roll ad from Tai Lopez, a millionaire investor, entrepreneur, and motivational speaker. You know, the one that starts with a dude in his garage filming himself on an iPhone, proclaiming “I’m here in my garage…” before he babbles on about his black Lambo and how much he loves books. You know, this one:

So… Who is Tai Lopez? His “About” page on his website is filled with motivation entrepreneur business-babble, like Tai being “an investor, partner, or advisor to over 20 multi-million dollar businesses” and having a popular book club and doing podcasts do give “advice on how to achieve health, wealth, love, and happiness with 1.4 million people in 40 countries.” Tai’s About page continues with this biographical gem:
He spent two-and-a-half years living with the Amish, spent time working at a leper colony in India, and helped Joel Salatin pioneer grass-fed, sustainable agriculture on Polyface Farms.
He then joined the long list of entrepreneur college dropouts and ended up completely broke (sleeping on his mom’s couch) until he talked five, multi-millionaire entrepreneurs into mentoring him.
Tai went on to become a Certified Financial Planner and worked in the world of finance before becoming a founder, investor, advisor, or mentor to more than 20 multi-million dollar businesses while settling in the Hollywood Hills.
Holy shit. Embedded with the Amish? Living in a leper colony? Dropping out of college as an entrepreneur? Financial planning? Tai is like Mother Teresa, Mark Zuckerberg, Lloyd Blankfein and wrapped into one holy, capitalistic super-human.
It seems like Tai’s livelihood is being a motivational guru/mentor for people willing to shell out big bucks to have motivational guru/mentor. Like Scientology, except for business people who just want to be rich as fuck with a Lambo and a house in the Hollywood Hills. Nice gig if you can get it, I guess. A sucker is born every day.

Tai Lopez appears to be spending a shit ton of money with Google on YouTube pre-roll right now. I know it’s all custom targeted, but I get the ad at least once a day. I’m sure many other BroBible readers do as well. Some people fucking hate it, some people think it’s hilarious.
ANYWAY, one Bro thought Tai’s commercial was ripe for parody. He made a shot-for-shot remake showing off the sweet Honda Civic he has in his garage.
