Here we all are, trying to enjoy a casual Friday and World War III breaks loose. Well, not an actual World War III per se. But don’t tell that to the obviously hacked Twitter accounts of United Press International and the New York Post.
Both news outlets sent a series of alarming tweets detailing a rapidly escalating military conflict between the United States and China.
Now…you can rest easy knowing none of this actually happened. The Post admitted they’d been hacked and UPI dropped a super boring follow-up tweet to the Pope admitting the end times were near.
JUST IN: Bank of America CEO calls for calm: Savings accounts will not be affected by federal reserve decision.

Seriously. Great PR by Bank of America to bury a story.
This is yet another reminder that the Apocalypse, when it happens, will be narrated by awkward scheduled tweets.
I, for one, can’t wait to make pithy comments as the world burns.
