Reebok Is Trolling The Pants Off Nordstrom For Selling $425 Fake Mud Jeans

Earlier this week, news broke that Nordstrom is selling jeans splattered in fake mud for $425. If you haven’t seen those fake mud jeans or the reactions to Nordstrom selling them, I highly suggest checking them out because it’s almost too absurd to be real…but it is.

Reebok has decided to poke some fun at Nordstrom’s dubious decision to sell the worst jeans ever manufactured, and they’ve done so by trolling hard. Specifically, Reebok as taken aim at the idea of buying clothes that look like they’ve already been worn in. If you want mud on your jeans then go and get muddy, don’t pay someone hundreds of dollars to make them look like shit. That’s the idea behind Reebok’s response to Nordstrom’s fake mud jeans:

Currently, the shirt is listed as ‘Sold Out’ but here’s the product description on the item. It takes direct shots at Nordstrom’s lazy ass fake mud jeans:

Reebok Authentic Sweat Shirt
Created by the hard working Reebok employees who always find time to sweat it out during the day. We’re putting in the hard work for you and giving you a pre-sweated tee for that post-workout look and smell.
— Authentic sweat for those who don’t have time to put in the real work
— Actual stains that will last forever (do not wash)
— Accurate placement of stains created by sweaty employees after workout for maximum visibility

I love everything about this. A major international brand putting themselves out there and taking advantage of a viral story by poking fun at the laziness of high fashion. They managed to turn Nordstrom’s stupid ass fake mud jeans into a PR win for Reebok, and it’s awesome. If you want to check out the product listing you can follow that link above!
