All The Way Back In 2000, ‘The Simpsons’ Predicted Donald Trump Would Be President

YouTube

Look, let’s get this out of the way. Donald Trump is not going to win the 2016 presidential election. He’s not even going to win the 2016 Republican primary. In fact, he’s more likely to drop an N-bomb in the first debate than he is to make it to Super Tuesday. You can count on that.

But that’s not to say he couldn’t win the 2020 election. He’d be 73 or so, which is old, but say Hillary wins, and has a rough first term. Trump learns from his mistakes, actually runs a well-managed, covertly misogynistic campaign that taps into the white male, Hillary-hating zeitgeist that has spouted and convinces everyone it’s finally time for an outsider to go into the Oval Office.

That… could happen. Which would mean this Simpsons prediction of having Trump leave office in 2029-ish would not be too far off, if he were elected to a second term.

And yea, they are probably right about him fucking it up, too, leading to a Democrat taking back the White House.

Lisa is definitely a Democrat.
